The problem with any acceptance of sexual deviancy is that what may be helpful in one case is abusive in 1000s of others.
Teachers work in a special environment in that the local community trusts that teachers will not prey on the kids they are charged with to teach/mentor.
Moreover, adult people who have sexual relationships with their much younger students have emotional illnesses that may lead to abusive relationships eventually.
If you story is true, be glad you feel positive about your relationship. As you become a parent of a 15-year old child, you will come to understand the difference.

Your comments illustrate why we need ethical people in responsible positions today. Contrary to what you believe, predatory situations do harm the prey. Just because we cannot see the damage visibly does not mean that a child's psyche is not harmed by liaisons between teachers and students. Your comment about "beautiful" females is also telling. And why limit teachers having sex with children to those young men above 15? Why not let teachers sleep with 12 or 13 year old boys, like they are already doing? If a teacher had a sexual relationship with my 15 year old son, I would be deeply upset. It is unethical and these relationships can damage young men or women.

Um no. What about ugly teachers? How would that ever stand up in court?
Sexual involvement between a minor and a legal adult is by nature a predatory situation, because they are not equals before the law.
Although that is a classic schoolboy fantasy, I think that it is utterly inappropriate conduct.
That is a serious breach of professional conduct. How do you give a D to a student who you are getting it on with?

Apparently you really don't agree with what you are saying or you wouldn't be here asking the opinion of total strangers. I'm assuming you want to talk about it and you probably should - to a professional. You're about 45 now and still thinking back on this situation? WHY????? I pray you don't have a 15 year old daughter, son, nephew, niece who goes through what you went through.
Again - why are you asking this after 30 years???

It is the fantasy of every teenage boy to sleep with their beautiful teacher. Horomones are a crazy thing. It is the responsiblity of the teacher to be the ADULT and trained professional in knowing that such behavior is inappropriate and harmful to the psychological development of a child. You are a prime example of just how warped one's sense of reality has become. There are reasons we have laws to protect our minors from such abuse. What kind of "beautiful" woman sleeps with a child?

Anyone who thinks this poster is serious is just being silly. This guy did not sleep with his teacher in 1977, and I doubt he's much older than 15 even now.
Puh-leeze.

So if she's an ugly teacher she should be penalized? I'd say sleeping with a beautiful teacher HAS corrupted you. What an awful way to think!

I don't agree that female teachers should sleep with underage children because it is wrong, especially if the teahcer is married. A female teacher is hired to teach, not to sleep with children, as that is inappropriate.

it's not about looks , it's not about a female teacher having sex with a boy , it's about right and wrong , it's about her position of trust , about her being the adult ,
male or female makes not a bit of difference , she should of been caught , prosecuted , and tossed in prison

I agree. I think there should be a beauty clause. Any female teacher rated at an 8 or above can sleep with her students.
