Is there such a thing as "Best Drumming Songs", not if all of us listen to different music.

Billy Cobham and Dave Weckl are two of today's best Jazz Drummers (I have CDs from both).
Neil Peart (Rush)and Mike Portnoy (Dream Theater) are two of today's best Rock Drummers.

i see someone mentioned phil collins... he's probably the no. 1 or 2 greatest drummer of all time, unbeknowngst to many people who knock him for his lame 80s and 90s solo pop songs and his recent disney music. when he was in genesis and brand x, the drumming was phenominal. unfortunately, people tend to confuse late 80s genesis with phil collins solo, and think genesis is all soft rock or something. this is not the case, especially from 1971-1980, when he did his best drumming (he was the drummer of genesis before he was the lead singer). he joined another band in 1975 called brand x, and it's really 'out there' jazz-rock fusion, and he left in 1980, to go solo in 1981. a few songs to hear him drumming in:

Genesis - Down & Out
Genesis - Behind The Lines
Brand X - Malaga Virgen
Brand X - Macrocosm

Another good drummer is Bill Bruford. His work with Yes is okay, but his solo work outdoes that.
