nothing really except sport ones have a different shape thats ment to give u more protection..and their more expensive.

honestly ive been playing sports for years with regualr tampons, and ive never had a problem.

these 'sport' ones seem like just another way to charge u more for a cotton ball on a string that cost them like 5 cents to make. =P

The sport tampons seem to bloom like a flower when they open up. Where the regular tampons just expand. I hope that makes sense that is the best way I can describe it.

The difference is that the sport tampons can kick the regular tampon's as* at soccer. Kidding. It's just a marketing technique----they want your money. Off-brand tampons rock!

The sport tampons have an anti-leak backup layer and 360 degree coverage. Therefore providing better protection during activity. This is at least what Playtex claims

I don't use tampons anymore, but I am guessing they changed the look of the box, the applicator, and not much else. I use instead, have been for about 5 years now. It's better than tampons and costs about the same. Check it out :)

From my experience they just cost more. They were giving away free samples at http://www.playtexsport.com if you want to try them. Not sure if the offer still applies.
