First of all, Aaron Rodgers is a pile of garbage. Any Jeff Tedford coached QB is. So with that said, who would the Raiders get to throw to him? Jamarcus Russell is the next Culpepper, who probably idolizes Randy Moss, so THAT could be the QB/WR tandem of the PRESENT, because (this is contingent on Moss) if Randy is happy, he will step up and give Russell the relief a rookie QB needs to be successful as a starter, just like Hines and Plax did for Big Ben his first year. How nice would it be to know as a rookie that even if your ball was a little wobbly, or under/overthrown, you've got a reciever thats gonna go up and get it 9 outta 10 times? And for all of you saying to take him because Troy Smith is available in the later rounds....im sorry to say but Troy Smith is not a starter for any team in this league and is probably better suited to the Arena League or as a career backup. I could have put up his numbers at The Ohio State U if I had recievers like Ginn, Holmes, Gonzales, and that good of an O-line. Bottom line, if they don't take Russell as the #1 overall pick, they should trade Moss for picks, and trade down to maybe the 2nd, 3rd or 4th pick and draft Joe Thomas outta Wisconsin, then depending on what picks they've acquired through the trades, draft a reciever like Dwayne Bowe, Robert Meachem, Sydney Rice, etc. Then pick up a QB like Drew Stanton or my sleeper of the draft Montana's Josh Swogger.

Its a smoke screen I think. It puts more value on their number one pick if they start really looking towards Calvin Johnson. Now a team like the Bucs may start thinking about what they can offer the Raiders for the number one pick etc. Its all about positioning yourself for the best possible situation at this point. There's so much talking and false rumors being spread by all the teams out there that you can't trust anything until it happens.
The Raiders are almost forced to make sure they look at all of the top prospects, it would be stupid not to. The problem is Moss and Al Davis. If Moss doesn't get shipped out, than with Johnson as the #1 pick the Raiders would be looking at about 20% of their entire cap space going towards their two receivers and who is throwing them the ball? Probably a potential third round pickup of Troy Smith.
Raiders will either take one of the QBs or trade down a few slots somewhere in the top five.

If they pick Johnson, it wouldn't be logical and sensible. Think about it, what does a good WR need? A qb, the thing the Raiders are lacking, the reason why Moss's career is slowing down, and the reason the Raiders don't have an offense. Say the trade does go through. Can Rogers run the ball? He's gonna have to because the Raiders also don't have a line. Jamarcus Russell all the way, then and only then can the Raiders get a WR.

Well i even got a better idea, the raiders should draft calvin johnson because alot of teams would want to take him and then the raiders can tade johnson for a nfl experienced quarterback and then there other picks should be a couple offesive linemen.

Depends....... If Randy Moss gets tradded for a good qb like lets say a qb like Phillip Rivers ( I'm not saying that the Chargers are going to give him up...) and couple of extra people maybe..... But the problem is they need a qb who is very mobile. Another situation would be getting Calvin Johnson in the first round (However Randy Moss has to be traded for O linemen) and getting Troy Smith in the second round (If lucky, third round)

I want a decent QB and then Johnson, i dont mind getting russel cuz he could help the raiders a lot but johnson is a guy you can't pass on, but first we need a QB to pass to him... Andrew Walter is good but we need an Oline for him, the raiders are gonna be good next year!

I THINK THEY SHOULD TAKE HIM. NOT A RAIDER FAN BUT IF I WERE TO TURN THE TEAM AROUND. SWALLOW MY PRIDE TRADE MOSS (HE DON'T WANNA BE THERE)TAKE A LATER ROUND PICK AND A PLAYER.
THEN TAKE JOHNSON # 1 AND THEN HOPE FOR A QB LIKE THAT TROY SMITH FOR MY NEXT PIC. HE HAS A CANNON ! AND A SMART PLAYER.THERE PLENTY OF TALENT OUT THERE FOR THE REST OF THE POSITIONS NEEDED. THEY MIGHT NOT MAKE THE PLAYOFFS THIS YEAR BUT THEY'LL MAKE IT INTERESTING

Yes your rightif the trade goes through. but if not no they need a QB..and if Russell if anythign liek he was in college he will make any reciever good...But theres is a good chance that trade may go through Al Davis wants to win and will do anyhting to win....I see Davis tradin moss anyways his stock is stilll high and theres a lot of young talented players out there and with the right team Moss could like like the player of old....It's Randy Moss wouldnt you trade for him

This sounds very good except for two things.
1. we are talking about the RAIDERS!!!
2. I'm not sure Al Davis has ever done somthing sensible in his life!
Other than those two things, it is VERY sensible, and maybe Al Davis WILL do somthing for the team for once.
