Im a good, normal person, pretty, take care of my body & veryone asks me why Im alone. Iv been divorced for 8 years with two great girls & i have the best divorce situation anyone could ask for with 2 great girls. I have the worst luck in evry way when it comes to trying to meet men. Im always in the "wrong place all the wrong time". Yes they are always looking at me but never single or just never talk to me.
Im not going to be a nut either & chase men around desperately. Its very hard to accept the fact i will never have a companion, Im looking at this lonely pathetic life forever & Id rather not be here. Yes I luv my kids but they cant fill the void of a guy.

That depends on what "void" you are talking about. I know it is hard being a single mother (I'm 38 single mom of 1) but if it is companionship and maybe more, you want then I would invite friends over for a small get together, ask them (discreetly) to bring over some single guys. If nothing happens then at least you have broadened your friends. I think a woman has a better chance in meeting a half decent guy that way as apposed to bars. If you only want fun and games, same applies only be honest about what you want. Things may even grow from there.

I truly feel for you. I think the older you get the more difficult it can be to meet decent men that are not looking for just one thing. You don't say what your hobbies are or if you go out to places in which you will meet men?
Could you be trying too hard and scaring them off?
i know you arent a nut.
Have you considered joining a dating agency????
You have said clearly that you want a companion so go join a dating agency.
Your life will only stay lonely if you want it to. You have to go out there and do something about it.

You're not cursed. You're funny. If you feel that you truly have something to offer someone and you're ready for that step in your life, make sure that there is a place for that person. Once that void is made, make a list of clubs, activities, or things that you can get involved with. Not necessarily for "couples" to join. Just things for you to do that intrest you. In those moments when you're having the time of your life enjoying great things you decided upon, your energy will bring you what you desire most.

Are you going to the right places and looking for the right type of guys. I have a friend who is divorced with two girls - she is about your age and ends up going out with men in their twenties - problem is, most men in the twenties don't see a woman of our age with two children a long term prospect. You need to get out and about, maybe get an interest where you will meet like minded genuine people - women and men as any new girlfriends you make could introduce you to their handsome brother!. If you are attractive then great but don't forget, you will not be attractive to a man with a negative attitude no matter how gorgeous you are on the outside. Good luck.

Guys usually don't ask attractive women out because they don't think they have a chance with her and fear rejection. I know this sounds immature and high-school-like but unfortunately it's true. That's why attractive women who seem to be the most popular are usually the last to be asked out.

I think that if you made the first move then you would probably be very pleasantly surprised.

I might be wrong about this, but hope it works out for you! Good Luck!

If you have the kids around a lot guys might assume you're married, especially if you're very attractive; and some guys don't want to date women with kids.
I say enjoy your life and make the most out of what you do have, if you can't be happy with that you can't be happy. Marriage doesn't solve all the problems in life, it's just a different set.

You are no different to anyone else. Maybe you are looking the wrong places. I found someone special when I least expected it. Focus on your children, but also do some activity outside the home. Relax, don't appear desperate and people will come to you.

Go to the right place at the right time. Be a nut. Men love women with humour. You sound too serious for your own good.

Why don't you try Internet dating.

Or tonight phone all your friends and ask them to set you up on a blind date with the man they think would be most suited to you.

Or is there no one from you past that you really liked why not try to track them down? Or arrange as school reunion.

Good Luck on your mission to find a man.

Sad comes to mind, as well as fussy and not a care or thought who it might affect other then your children. Its hardly their fault that you choose to be alone and a man wont fill the gap, in some respects he might just distract you away from what the real problem is.

You are alone because you dont make the effort to find a companion. Men wont always make the first move so stop being selfish get off ya backside and go looking, if you want things in life you gotta go get em, they wont come to you..
