That was the style of the day. He was hopelessly heterosexual.

Firstly, I'd like to note that "Amadeus" is barely correct in historical nature, definitely not a reference point for accuracy. And as everyone else answering this question has said; yes, it was a point of fashion to wear wigs and modernly-considered effeminate clothing considering the time period. Amadeus, as a film, had a multitude of inaccuracies (one especially cringe-worthy one being the treatment of Salieri, yikes) so I wouldn't use the modern gender-coded fashion as a comparison to something that happened 200+ years ago. Considering that's almost ahistorical in itself.
Moving onto his personality: again, a stereotype. Which really is all to be said on the matter, no matter how quote unquote "fruity" he may be it certainly doesn't dictate his sexuality. Considering Amadeus in itself is a fairly comedic piece, I wouldn't put it below it to use that for a humorous effect.
But does this mean he's not gay? No, not at all. I'm just trying to put out that his sexuality shouldn't be dictated by modern, and offensive, stereotypes. A few depictions of him show him in a fairly bisexual light (Mozart l'opéra rock comes to mind) and have a definite basis of those beliefs. So gay? Maybe. Just like any historical figure, it's hard to put a finger on just what their sexuality was, especially with the broad array of identification today. As someone who has studied him to an extent I think I can say for sure that he had an attraction to females, but bisexuality is always plausible considering the circumstances put about in his life.
Overall, it's too hard to delve into the topic of any given dead person's sexuality, and considering I want to keep this fairly short and sweet I'll end it on the note that, perhaps, Mozart could have been non-straight. Always something to consider, although don't let historically inaccurate films of all things push you towards that.
(side note: Most "evidence" lies in his younger years, particularly late teens and early twenties. Go check it out for yourself, there's a few novels detailing it if I remember correctly)

RE:
Was the composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart a homosexual?
My mom and i are arguing about this...after watching the movie "Amadeus" she thinks he is gay cause he wore like, pink wigs and stuff and acted all fruity... So was he gay or is it all just speculation?

No. He was straight. He was a known womanizer.
Mozart was married and had kids (2 lived).
Those wigs were the fashion back then.
The way he acted in the movie was exaggerated. He wasn't like that in real life.
My husband is a Mozart fan and so am I. We know about Mozart and his life. We know movie makers added stuff that was not true.

December 5, 1971 Vienna, Austria His death record listed "hitziges Frieselfieber" ("severe miliary fever," referring to a rash that looks like millet-seeds), a description that does not suffice to identify the cause as it would be diagnosed in modern medicine. Dozens of theories have been proposed but they are not for sure

The movie is based on a stage play that came about as a tourist entertainment. The movie looks like a theater set without the curtains opening and closing. The movie is pure fiction.
Mozart was married, so I doubt your fears. He married for love, so rare in that time. It was his misfortune he lived in illiterate times. His penny operas really are funny and they are beautiful.

I'm pretty sure the movie was an overly dramatized version of him, pink wigs were probably not worn. Its a little bit of creative license.

I highly doubt it. He loved women too much. Beethoven and Tchiavosky was said to be too. People just like to gossip, lies. Although, I wonder about Tchiavosky, hard to spell. Don't feel like getting out a Webster. No he was straight, but mad!

No.
He fathered many kids, and was married to Constantine Weber.
The clothes he wore were typical of a flamboyant, wealthy man at that time.
