Stanford (not Standford) is one of the best universities in the world and one of the most selective. To get in, you need to be in the top of your class, have nearly perfect SAT scores and have a long list of interesting extracurricular activities.

Many foreign students come to the better schools in the US -- so you will have to make yourself stand out from other students from India.

Undergraduate tuition is $32,994, with room and board being another $10,000.

The SAT (Scholastic Aptitude Test) tests your math, verbal and writing skills. For some programs, you will be required to take an advanced exam. It is administered by the Educational Testing Service. See the link below.

Most textbooks used at Stanford (and other US universities) can be purchased on the Internet (e.g., at Amazon.com) -- and could be delivered to India.

Most top universities in the US want students to take the following classes in High School (the four years before university): four years of mathematics, four years of literature, at least one year each of biology, chemistry, physics, at least two years of history. See the admissions web sites for more information.

In the US, many students who get into the top universities take AP classes (advanced placement) before attending colleges. Basically, you should take the most advanced classes possible.

I assume the name is STANFORD...

1) Can't answer your fees question because I don't know what course you want to go for, but fees in Stanford are very very high.
2) What do you mean by consequences?
You have to get excellent grades in your 10th,11th and 12th years and score a lot on your SAT and TOEFL exams and write a great college essay.
3) Get as much grades as you can, work hard.
4)You have to write SAT (scholastic aptitude test) and TOEFL (test of english as foreign language) tests after you finish your final school year.
5) SAT and TOEFL study books are available in most countries - look for them in stores.
Practise your English well.
