How can anyone play for their country when they are only a bit part player for their club?? Surely you must be playing week in and week out. He may have played well yesterday but how many times has he played well this season. When he was at Man City, he was really good and full of confidence but at Chelsea, he doesn't look sharp. On current form he shouldn't be selected for England.

He is good enought but at the moment he souldnt play for England. He doesnt get enough first team action for Chelsea to deserve a England spot when other players such as Kevin Nolan play week in week out well. If he can prove hes good enough by playing week in week out then he can play but until then i dont think he should play on what we see in just a few games a season.

When he was at Man City and playing on a regular basis I would say yes but since he moved to Chelsea I do not think he played enough games to warrant being in the England squad. I prefer Lennon.

Are you kidding??? What a great player!
Yesterday he set up 2 goals for Chelsea and they're league champions so what do you think?

Now, Peter Crouch - is he good enough to play for England?
Most of the England team arent good enough, but what can we do about it - nothing.

He is good enough to play for England but I don't think he should be picked until he is a regular for Chelsea.

Why he gets in yet Joey Barton, Gareth Barry, Kevin Nolan are regulars, play brilliant for their clubs yet don't get a real chance for England is beyond me....

nope he should have never gone to Chelsea
he's always on the bench
if he stayed with city he would have played

Steve mclaren dropped him that is a good thing because he is not playing at club level why should he be playing for England

but joey Barton and Gareth Barry should have not been dropped they didn't do anything wrong in the Spain friendly

Yeah he is good enough but he just dosen't fit in at Chelsea with Lampard, Essien, Makalele, Ballack and Robben.

when he was at city he was great, but with his lack of games he has gone backwards, while lennon who was nowhere when phillips joined cfc is twice the player he is. it just goes to show how you can develop with regular football.

I would say yes, before he joined Chelsea and he played every week.
