This does not suprise me. He probably looked on the rapists as victims of a ghetto childhood caused by the capitalist pigs the republicans. Rather than take any physical action to save his daughter, he would like all good liberals, try to appease the rapists through negotiation. If that did not work he would most likely cut and run leaving his poor daughter to fend for herself.
