How did Anne justify her cold attitude towards her mother.

I don't think she did justify it.

You have to remember this is not a work of fiction. This was a personal diary never intended to be published.

Young Anne was just stating her feelings as they were.

It's been a long time since I read the book.

I think it was because her mother sort of did the same thing to her. She acted differently with Anne than she did her sister, because she had been more in common with her, and having more in common with her father.

There could be more, but that is my opinion.

Anne feels her mother favors Margot and resents her mother's constant criticisms.

Idk i read the book.........actually my teacher ead it to the class but i dont recall Annie saying anything about her mother
