LOL!!!

Have you seen that advert with the buddhist bloke who blows his nose and then realises that the tissues kill all germs??

Your question reminded me of that. I think that most religious people draw the line at parasites and germs, but you never know ... I'll watch this space to find out if there are really any crusties so crusty that they think that germs have rights, man.

I have a friend who knows some Hindu people who will not kill ANYTHING. They'll gently get a spider, or whatever, & put it outside. As for me, I'll swack a fly in a heart beat. Dirty & mean little buggers. Don't much care fo moths, either, but I do catch them & let them outside. I guess I shouldn't have answered this question, since I'm not "religious," but I believe Buddhists don't believe in killing anything, either.

EDIT: Oh my goodness. Illegal immigrants are parasites? What a very nasty thought. We don't mind using their labour, do we? But that's another story.

Some people in USA view illegal immigrants as parasites and they are justified in their beliefs.
If your body and system is being attacked, then you must kill in self defense.
If you really want to get technical, read the old Testament, God led his people to kill hundreds of thousands in just about any chapter one opens to read.

It depends on the definition of "parasite" if you are referring to those who prey on children, women, the old, or otherwise are criminals who commit horrendous crimes. Then yes, to execute them is reasonable, a societal self-defence.

I was thinking about this, my cat has ear lice, and I occasionally manage to get them off him and crush them. If I didn't, they would continue to suck his blood- in other words, he's giving them a livelihood, but they bother him walking about on his ears. At the same time, he is unable to get them off himself...

Remove them, apologise, then squash them, that's the rubric I've worked out. Poor cat!
