There is nothing wrong with marrying a man that has been divorced. This is my husbands second marriage and we are doing wonderful, in fact yesterday was our third anniversary.

It's not a matter of right or wrong, although it may not always be wise. A divorced person comes with baggage (ex-wife, kids, etc.) You need to date this person long enough to see how he deals with all of that, and decide if you are willing and able to deal with it too, because it isn't going away. He may not want any more kids, if he already has them, so that's another thing to think about. You can marry someone who is divorced, but you have to go into it with your eyes open, realizing that it will be harder.

You sure can. God does hate the act of divorce, but not the divorced(meaning humans). Joel Osteen's late father John did go thru an unwanted divorce over 60 yrs ago, but still God blessed his ministry & left Joel with a lasting legacy & made Lakewood Church the loving church it is today! But like another answerer said that you do have to learn what were the circumstances behind it. Be Blessed!

considering how many people are getting divorced than remarried I'd say odds are getting better that someone will marry a man who's been divorced one or more.

Nothing wrong with that just make sure you really get to know him and how he feels about the down fall of his failed marriage. If all he does is blame his ex be Leary it takes two. If he doesn't own up to his part of the blame and learn from it he is destined to repeat his mistake over and over again.

Both genders are divorced these days. One needs to get to know all about an individual, including the circumstances of the divorce.

it is just as right to marry a divorced man as it is right for a man to marry a divorced woman. things happen and then we learn, maybe you have found your perfect mate.

I am one of those guys. My first marriage did not work for a lot of reason and it only lasted 1 year. My second, we have been together 17 years and will go a whole lot more.

Sure, people make mistakes. Its when they have a history of the same mistake that you should worry. Now, its how you truly feel about him that matters most

Yes but find out the reasons for his divorce, and don't just
take his word for it...

It's up to you and the situation. However, as long as you realize that his first obligation will always be to his first wife, and especially kids if he has any.
