There's power struggle going on in the country between the arab and african tribes, and the international community is taking advantage of this sitution by interfering apparently to solve the conflict. Sudan like many others middle eatern country's has alot to offer. Unfortunately, the people don't relise what they have and are busy fighting- a situation which is extremely favourable for the those who have their eyes on the wealth the country has.
How's that. Bet you didn't know this.

Darfur is perhaps the saddest tragedy on the face of this good Earth right now, and much of the global community ignores it, including the U.S.A. Oh, yes, we've sent some money over there - but WHY aren't we intent on bringing 'democracy' to that stricken nation as we are in Iraq?
People are being displaced and living in makeshift camps, hundreds of miles from their homes. Women are being raped; murderous rampages continue every day.
But George W. Bush chose to unconstitutionally and illegally invade another sovereign nation that in no way threatened, provoked or attacked the United States. He invaded Iraq for three really 'lame' reasons:
1) His family has held a grudge against Saddam Hussein ever since the days of Desert Storm when George H.W. Bush was criticized, ridiculed and humiliated for not ousting Hussein at that time;
2) Dick Cheney and all of the other Bush OIL buddies want all that cheap, easily-accessible OIL swimming underneath Iraq's sands so they can continue to feed America's oil addiction and get richer and richer and richer;
3) The giant U.S. military-industrial complex needed a new 'war' to boost its sagging profits. Ever since World War II, wealthy industrialists recognized how profitable 'war' could be. So they bought up all the politicians, hired pricey lobbyists, and formed 'special interest groups' to promote and encourage 'war'. Thus, the U.S. was involved in the Korean Confict; the Cuban Missle Crisis; the Cold War; Vietnam and Desert Storm - all for profit, at any cost.
If George W. Bush had any morality at all, he'd focus on the crisis in Darfus instead of starting a war in oil-rich Iraq and Iran. But there's no profit in that. -RKO-
