The question should be why do married men pursue single women? I had a friend who was involved with a married man and I was involved with a married man once. It is not about keeping it secret or sneaking around. Honestly, I don't know what it is really about and sometimes I don't think it is about the situation or the man at all. You know he has a significant other and you know he has no intentions to leave his wife, (and speaking from experience, I didn't want him to leave his wife). If I could sum it up, I think its the attention you get from a married man and the small emotional investment...if any you have to contribute. Like the guy I used to talk to put it...(ironically)...men only do things to women that women allow them to do. Needless to say, that was a true statement and I stopped allowing him to have his cake and eat it too!

Personally, I wouldn't want another woman's husband - don't do sloppy seconds. To be honest, the question should be why married men sleep around - a single girl who doesn't want anything out of a relationship other than a good time might prefer a married man because he won't be chasing her around etc. It always makes me chuckle when the wife blames the other woman for her own husband sleeping around - like he hasn't actually done anything wrong!

Not every girl goes with a married man. Some do it for excitment of being caught, others do it because they are bored with the current relationship and some steer clear. Personally I cant see the point of seeing a married man I would steer clear. If the shoe was on the other foot I wouldnt want my husband to cheat behind my back.

Something interests me when reading all these answers nobody has said they wanted to do it just because they wanted to because they in general found something they liked about this person and just wanted to have a good time. I dont believe in every case it's because it was the excitement of being caught or sneaking around. I am not saying it is right but maybe sometimes couples just need a break from each other.

I made an agreement with myself at a very young age - married men are out. I deserve 100% and I made sure I got that. Why on earth would I hurt another sister anyway? I can get my own blokes. Its out of the question and only a twit would do it.

I would never go with a married man. I've even turned down someone who was only dating another woman. I find that if a man has no qualms on cheating on the person he's with, he will have none with me. Not only that, but it's morally wrong and I won't have a part of it!

Surely the answers to this will be weighted towards the negative as girls/women that WOULD go with a married man will be wary of all the comments that they would probably receive?

Am not interested in married men, am not interested in degading myself or other women. Plenty of single men why bother being someones bit on the side? No thrill in being hidden like a shameful secret nah....it's all too tacky.

Married men are off limits. Think about it..they are married and cheating and will just end up treating you as bad and disrespectful in the end. What is the point?

I would not knowingly go out with a married man...I have went out with one, BUT I didn't know that he was married. I dated him for about 4 months when I accidently found out that he was married. I called his cell and gave him a really big piece of my mind and then I called his wife and told her that her hubby was a big loser and that he had been cheating on her....His EX wife and I are friends to this day!
