No, not really.
Circles have way to much respect for themselves to be regarded as a lowly polygon.

Hi,
A polygon is defined as a figure made up of segments that intersect only at their endpoints to make an enclosed figure. Since a circle is not made of segments it is not a polygon. It does, however, have similarities to a polygon like having an area and its fornm of perimeter, its circumference.

yes....
a regular polygon has n equal sides..and n equal angles.
now if you tent n almost to infinty...the angle becomes almost 180, and the sides become almost zero giving you a circle...
also u can verify tht use any property of a polygon and appply limit n tends to infinty...you shall get the property fr the circle verified...
for ex.
area of a n sided polygon=.5 x R x R x sin(2 x pi / n)
if you applt the limit...
u get area of circle.
pi x r x r...hence yes

NO.
A polygon is a 2 dimensional shape that is mad eup of line segments. A circle does not have line segments. And thus it is not a polygon.

you could regard it as a geometric "limit" of regular polygons as the number of sides tends to infinity.
