Lately my car doesn't want to start. Sometimes it does, like seems to like the warmer weather more than the cold. However, this problem escalated this winter season. the winter was awful. we checked the fuel: was ok. Seemed like more of a battery problem. So we had it charged. It choked, and then someone said it was a coil pack. Others said there is no coil pack in the distributor. Now see, the car started after a full battery charge, but now she is acting up again. She makes the sound that she wants to start, but doesn't choke like she wants to actually fully start over. So we have determined it to be either timing or the alternator pulling power from the battery. Oh and it will NOT start in Neutral. Question is....what could be the prob. Would it be either of what we said, or something else? Any help and info GREATLY appreciated!

Actually, the coil on this vehicle is inside the distributor. That's why there is no coil wire going to the distributor and you'll only see the ignition wires going to the spark plugs. There are so many possibilities for this problem that I would not even know where to start, and anyone who gives you advise would be guessing. I would start with a visit to a highly qualified repair facility, preferrably one that is a Blue Seal rated shop, of which only 3-4% of facilities belong to. This would ensure that you are getting the cream of the crop who would be able to help with a tough intermittent performance and starting problem like this. You can find these facilities on ASE.com. By the way, just because a shop has an ASE plaque out front does not mean it is an ASE Blue Seal facility, this is a special certification you can usually only find on a small plaque inside. I recommend using the website.

i own a shop, and before you spend any more money on it take it and have a draw test done on it to determine if it has something pulling the juice out of the battery on it,a good mechanic can find it for you and it wont cost you near as much as buying parts and putting them on and them not helping it,that's the best advice i can give you on this one good luck i hope this helps.
