Basically I had a random thought, and it seems logical. What happens if I dedicate like...40 gigs to Xp and other programs like firefox and such. Then, what happens if I partition small sections, like 8 gigs for Oblivion, 5 gigs for Diablo 2...etc...would that make things run faster cause it would only have to search small sections to run the games? Or...would that make it slower?...or no change?

There would be no change because the temp files that will be created and used with these programs will still be on your main windows drive. Faster access to game files is not the key. Faster access to the running data files is.

So do a scan disk and defrag once a month and thats the best you can do.
