Computer help with a couple different things?

I have a pop up blocker from Earthlink but some still get through I wanted to know if there were anyways to get disable it or stop it. I get getting a pop up that says syntax error. Can someone explain this to me and tell me how to get rid of it.

syntax error is not a pop up, it is your computer telling you that there is something wrong with a program execution file, you will need to find out what the problem is before it will go away

you have to download ad aware or another program to clean your computer, some malicious programs are pop up generators which aren't blocked by your pop up blocker.

Download ad aware, scan your computer and clean it.
