You probably won't be able to get private insurance since you're already pregnant. When we were signing up for Blue Shield you couldn't delivery within 12 months of the start of the policy.

You'll probably be left with 3-4 choices:
1. Get hired by an employer that is so large that their insurance will cover you right away (my friend's husband got hired at Boeing halfway through her high risk pregnancy and they paid 100% from the day he started work).
2. Pay out of pocket
3. Sign up for Medicaid (which has income restrictions of about 185% of the poverty level)
4. If you don't have a bachelor's degree, go to college. States require universities to offer insurance to all students so there is no pre-existing condition. The premiums are fairly low with low deductibles. That's what I did during both my pregnancies, the premiums were about $550 per sememster, with $250 deductible, and 80% coverage.

Not sure which one is most reasonable, but before you sign up for a plan you should make sure they will cover your medical expensives. Some insurance palns will not cover the pregnancy if you were pregnant before you applied. You may have to look into MediCal (Gov. medical assistance or if you have W.I.C.- Women Infant and Children).

There are few insurance policies that will cover your pregnancy at this point. None that I know of. Pregnancy is considered preextisting.
