I was 16 years old at the time and remember when it happened. It was a very terrible thing, and Jones was obviously a very twisted human being.
I could not imagine following someone like him, but sadly a lot of people did. There had to be some degree of brainwashing involved.

As far as I know, the only government connection J. Jones had was to Indianapolis's Human Rights commission during the '60's. Was there any other connection to the Temple besides CIA investigations?
