I am about 9 weeks along and having very bad diarreha for about two to three weeks. It is usually a black color too an almost as soon as I eat I have diarreha. My doctor is not really helping or telling me what is wrong. He doesn' even tell me if this is normal. Can anyone tell me if this happened to them or what it is?

Oh and this is my first one, so I don't know what is normal. My pregnancy books don't mention this.

hi im about 10 days away from delevery with my third child and as far as i know you can have diarreha or constipation at any time during pregnancy. with this pregnancy i had diarreha all the time and mainly after i eat and i still have it and with my to boys i had constipation. if your doctor dont seem to be worried about it and there is no blood that is present then i wouldnt worry about it.

Are you on prenatals? They could be upsetting your stomach. Perhaps you are just sick? Have the flu? Many women have differebt reactions to pregnancy. Remember that "morning sickness" doesn't always happen in the am. Watch your diet, and drink plenty of water, not juices. Ho with bland items for a while. The 1st trimester is a doozy! Most important though, if you are not happy with your dr, you can still switch. It isn't too late! If you aren't happy now, you will definately not be happy come delivery!! TRUST YOUR INSTINCTS!

Your prenatal vitamins can change the color of your stool...mine was orange...eww...lmao. It's probably from the vitamins. Look on the bottle of your prenatals, it should say that diarrhea is a common side effect.

You may be anemic. Try eating a stake every once in a while. Also even though you a pregnant, the OCCASSIONAL glass of red wine is good for you too.

First of all keep hydrated. Second black in stools is usally blood. If this doctor dosent seem to address your concern you need to find one who can.
Good luck!

Your body is going through a bunch of changes right now, and if your doctor doesnt seem to be concerned about it, then I wouldnt stress over it. Stress is not good in pregnancy.
