You should be honest with your best friend. Let her know that you felt like a 3rd wheel the last time you went to the movies with her and you don't want to feel that way now. Reassure that you will always be there for her, but you shouldn't go out on dates with her, especially when there is a guy involved. A decent excuse that I would give her is: " I can't go to the movies with you tonight because I promised my Aunt that I would babysit my little nephew." She will appreciate the fact that you were honest with her. Your friend needs to deal with relationship issues on her own. She will be a stronger person that way be learning from her mistakes. I hope this helps. Good luck.

Never mind excuses , lies never help a situation and certainly not a friendship. You are entitled to spend your time as you wish and if you don't want to go to the movies ... tell her. Don't feel guilty about your feelings.Be honest , explain what you've said about being a third wheel and how uncomfortable it was for you. Make sure she knows it's not about her. She should be able to understand and be happy with making plans to hang out another time. Good Luck : )

Do not go with her if you do not want to. Tell her you think it is best if she goes with him alone because maybe she can talk to him more about their relationship. Tell her in a nice way you don't want to give her all the advice she needs, because if she can not find a way to make him happy or keep the relationship together it is not worth it. All your advice is kinda like you going out with the person, she is just the parrot that messages it.

Honesty is one of the most important qualities in a friendship. If you lie to your friend, then you really aren't their friend. You can tell her you don't want to go for the exact reason you don't want to go. Tell her that she and her crush need to spend time together. If you give her advice about their relationship, then you're the one building that relationship, not them. Call your other friend and go hang out with them.

Go but take your other friend that you wanted to hang with. That way you have someone else to talk to and you wont feel like a 3rd wheel. Go and have some fun.

If you're young enough, blame your parents and say they need you to do something at the house. If you're too old to use your parents as an excuse just tell her you're not feeling really good and you'd better stay home. You can always just say no, I don't feel like going today...
