I have rust on the cables, some of the frame, wheel spokes and my chain even the bits where the handle bars are, I have tried brillo pads and it works but it takes too long, is there any quicker way i can take this rust off, other than paint.

Use Naval Jelly, first. It's Phosphoric Acid in a gel and is available at most auto parts stores. Wipe it on, let it sit, hose it off. Presto, rust is gone.
And Coke will work, it contains Phosphoric Acid. It's just sticky and can gum up your chain.

Yes, there is a product called "NAVAL JELLY". Use it on all the chrome parts. Follow directions closely as it is very corrosive.

They got this stuff, I think it is called, yes, it's called SANDPAPER. It works really well!!!
