I think the only amount you are allowed to have in the bank is 2,100.00 dollars. It is best for you to receive the check at home so you can control the amount of money in your account, don't go over any limit. Don't forget there is a charge for the direct deposit. Freezing your account, as I just wrote there is a limit to the amount you can keep in an account. You need to discuss this with someone at the ssi office.

The money will just go into the bank and be forzen, so you need to stop that direct deposit.
Also since SSI money can not be attached, you need to file a motion in court ( proving this is SSI money) to get those SSI funds already in that account released

It would still come in, you just cant get any out. I would definately be resolving something with your bank, otherwise if Social Security found out, they may stop the direct deposits.

Why was your account frozen? Do you owe money? I had a collections company take money from my account because I still owed money on a credit card. Suggest you call and explain you are collecting disability pay, that fixed things for me.
