had a dream where when you wake up you think why was i dreaming about this. What is the chance that our dreams are sometimes telling us about the future, that they are trying to warn us, or is it that they show us our worst fears come true?

I can relate to this idea. Sometimes you go through, like, dream Deja Vu, where you have a dream about something and then it happens. It's happened to me. Sometimes I feel like it's important, but mostly, it's just random stuff that the brain makes up. Really interesting stuff though.

There are many records of prophetic dreams. The Holy bible is filled with dreams of prophecy and warnings. Many dreams are triggered by irrational or even rational fears of something imagined or real and even subconscious desires and longings that only surface when you are asleep.

Dreams are a symbol of whats going on in your life. Say for instance you dream about someone getting in a car wreck it could mean that you are stressing over something in your life. This is your subconscious working because your mind is asleep.

yeah that happend to me. i had too a dream but wasn't sure what to make of it. Eventualy I almost forgot about it untill years later when i could have sworn i remembered something like it in a painful dream then sudenly it hit me, I knew that i did dream it. every person was in the same spot saying the same thing including myself, every feeling was the same. I knew what was going to happen before i even relised that what happend in my dream was in fact going to happen unless i could stop it some how. but by the time i relised it was all real it was too late for me. but it was a learning experience for me and became a stronger person for it.
