With the WR postion on thier roster figured out they need 3 postions LB CB and Safety (either FS or SS) the latest mock drafts have them taking Greg Olsen, TE from Miami which I think is retarded because they replaced Graham with another blocking TE in Kyle Brady, and they got Marcus McCauley, CB from Fresno State which I like and isnt a bad pick. There was an question early adressing the fact that Brady needs a successor and Brady Quinn is that guy... no im sorry Matt Cassel has the best resume of any back up QB in the world. He was behind Carson Palmer and Matt Leinart at USC and is now behind Brady at NE. Matt Cassel is a QB no one talks about he is a smart guy who could start on many teams in the NFL and he is Brady's successor. Anyways Draft prospects lets here them!

They got offense pretty much taken care of...The Patriots aren't going to worry about QB...Whoever did those mock drafts is retarded...I am a ND fan, and like Brady Quinn, but the Pats don't need him...He won't be available when the Pats pick anyway...Like you said, Cassell is capable...and Brady is a warrior like Favre...If he's not dead, he's playing...They need to make sure Stallworth is going to stay healthy as Brady's #1 target...but they do need a DB definitely...Asante Samuel needs help with the pass coverage...and hopefully they will sign him to a long-term deal after making him the franchise player...Hobbs is OK, but Samuel is clearly better...Then, they should probably look at LB, as some of those guys are getting older...

OK LET'S START WITH THE SECOND HALF OF YOUR QUESTION QB
YES CASSEL IS A GREAT BACK UP QB,HOWEVER HE IS AGING AND SHOULD SOMETHING HAPPEN TO BRADY HE'S NOT A LONG TERM FRANCHISE QB. IF THEY OR ANYONE LUCKY TO DRAFT QUINN (OR ANOTHER YOUNG QB) WITH A MENTOR LIKE BRADY, WELL THAT'S THE LAST THING ANY NON PATRIOT FAN WANTS.

NOW THE OTHER PICK ,I NOT UP ON THEIR DEPTH CHART, BUT THE BUZZ I'M HEARING THERE LOOKING LB I THINK Paul Posluszny IS A MONSTER (IF THE GIANT'S DON'T GRAB HIM FIRST) AND WITH MENTORS LIKE BILL B. AND ADALIUS THOMAS LET'S JUST SAY I HATE TO BE A QB OR RB IN THE AFC EAST ( PAT'S AND MIAMI)

They don't need a TE so I think they will take Michael Griffin with their first pick and Marcus McCauley with the other one.
That way they will have 3 good cornerbacks with Samuel, Hobbs and McCauley with Chad Scott being a good complementary guy.

First off I think they will take Paul Posluzney from Penn State. Even though they have filled in with some guys at LB, I still see them taking Paul, who is really a Patriot type of player. I think on the way back they could take someone in the secondary.

if noone jumps off the board at them id trade em for next year or years down the road.they had a great off season, they filled some needs so why blow a draft pick just to use it.

I would say either linebacker, cornerback, or safety is what the Patriots will draft with their two first round picks.
