I've been given a table for which I need to complete and then draw a a graph for (Either line or bar, not sure which), for my homework...

The table shows the masses that blocks can support.. The table has 3 columns, one with samples (1-9), and the other two columns for mass, with a list of masses - they vary quite a bit on each column.

I assume there are two mass columns as the experiment was done twice, but I've been told to complete the table then draw a graph from the complete results, not sure how to complete it and then whether it's a line graph or bar (i'm guessing line though).

When they say complete it, my idea was it was to work out the average of each sample, but I'm not too sure..

Hope you can help!

This is in reply to the first answer below, you could be right, but I was told the table is not yet complete, and I would have to complete it - what do you think about that?

You will need to draw a line graph.

Along the bottom of the graph will be the samples (1-9) and up the side of the graph will be the mass.

Plot the first set of mass results and draw the line. Do this for the second set of results making sure you know which line is for which result.

Hope this helps........... Good luck

Erm interesting, you could actually instead of plotting both sets of results work out the average from the two sets of results and just plot the average. That would be the only way to complete the table, if all the information from the experiments has been provided. Is there a space on the table, which has a title heading or not? If not I would do the average and plot that using the same axis as i mentioned above but only plot one line
