How would you define "meant to be"? Does it mean that you believe that there is a higher power who is responsible for everything that happens in life? Or does it mean that you believe in fate/destiny?

What exactly does it mean when something is "meant to be"?

It usually means that "this is what I want, and while I have no particular reason to think I deserve it, I believe I have to have it anyway."
