You are going to need 4 different containers as male Bettas will FIGHT.
Wal-Mart has some Betta food that does not sour the water nor does it cause the water to cloud.
It comes in a package that is flat but folds to stand. It also has a corner pour spout. . . .I HIGHLY recommend it.
You may also need so get some medicine for Ick. It is a skin or scale disease that fish can get.
It is drops that you put in the water.
You will need to get some decholorinator drops as tap water will eventually kill the fish.
You put a few drops in a gallon of water and let it sit. . . I prefer to mix up a gallon or two at a time since you have to let it set a bit before putting it in the fish bowl.
When you fill the bowls with water,do not fill it too close to the rim of the bowl esp if you keep your bowls close together. . . they will jump to try and get into the other male's bowl to fight. . . . I had all 4 of my bowls sitting next to each other and had the water level too high and eventually found a fish on the floor as he had jumped trying to reach the other males- - talk about freaky, finding a fish on the floor. . Ha Ha
Other than that I know of nothing else you will need.
Some people like to use colored rocks/glass rocks in the bottom of their Betta's bowls and some people like to use the large vase with rooting plant. . . you can be creative with what you "decorate" the fish bowl with.

I've owned several bettas throughout the years and have used both regular aquariums (yes, with other fish ... they had plenty of tank space, though) and unfiltered/unheated bowls for them. The ones that were in the aquarium only lived slightly longer than the ones in the regular tanks. You will need seperate tanks for each male and you will need betta food - and something to make the water safe for them at the minimum. How you want the tank/bowl to look is up to you. Gravel, plants, decorations are optional. You will need to clean their tank periodically ... how often depends on the size of the tank. The small bowls I used to use would get new water every 2-3 weeks. Bettas are beautiful and I wish you luck and enjoyment in your new pets.

4 separate containers to put them in. Ask the place where you're getting them if they have any. You could get some water conditioner for them to kill the harmful chemicals in the water. We usually get a couple plants (real)for them to swim around. The good thing about bettas is that they don't need filters, however you do need to clean out their tank every once in a while(every week will do). Also get a light for them, so their water doesn't get too cold! We sometimes use a regular lamp. Betta food also helps!!!!! You could get them some females!

You'll need to get 4 different tanks, all cycled, heated and Some betta food. You can't keep male bettas together or they'll fight till all but one is dead so I wouldn't suggestit.

You'll need 4 cycled tanks, and 4 heaters - filtration for these tanks, water conditioner, a PH kit, substrate, and lighting. Remember to not use plastic plants for your tanks as they will rip the Bettas' delicate finnage.

keep them each in different tanks.**
betta food.
gravel stones... whatever they are called.
that stuff to make the water good for the fish.
you don't have to get a filter system if you are going to manually clean the tanks every week. two week at the most or they will smell bad.

but if you put then all in the same tank they will kill each other.
don't put any other fish with them either.

if you want fish that can go in one tank get different fish that won't fight.

First of all, unless they are in seperate bowls, they'll kill eachother. Also keep them out of site of eachother so they don't hurt themselves. You mostly just need the bowl and food, then anything you want in the tank.
PS: remember fish can't have tap water! get dechlorinated
