1. The PIZZA!
-Gino's East, a personal favorite
-Lou Malnati's, my GOD this place is good
-Giordano's, 2 words: deep dish.
2. The SHOPPING
-Michigan Avenue. 'Nough said.
3. The SIGHTS
-Navy Pier, always busy, but for a reason..it's awesome.
-Millenium Park, the Bean is a MUST-SEE. And i think it's a bit late for iceskating, but they do make the ice rink a cafe in the summer. Personally i don't know what it is in spring.
-Seriously, just walk around. Downtown is one of those places that you feel like exploring all day with a camera. I recommend seeing the whole block by the Tribune Tower and the Wrigley Building, it's gorgeous.
4. The MUSEUMS
-Museum of Science and Industry, one of my favorites. Currently they have this exhibit on real bodies. My friend went there and she said there were real bodies with their real body parts everywhere. I heard it's pretty cool and i'm planning to go myself.
-Field Museum, ever heard of Sue the Dinosaur?
-Shedd Aquarium, i love this place. I've been probably 10 times in my entire lifetime (and i'm only 13)
-The Art Institute, i went on a field trip there and i still had fun. Plus it's less than a block away from Millenium Park and very close to Michigan Ave.
5. The BEACH. I know it's chilly, but along Lakeshore Drive there are trails to bike, run, walk, whatEVER on and it's simply a must-see.
-including the beauuuuutiful sunrise
Hope you enjoy your weekend<3

Go to the Shedd Aquarium... It is an amazing place. The animal exhibits are spectacular. It's $27 per person but well worth it. You could also go to the Lincoln Park Zoo... it's free. It's a world class zoo and a fun cheap place to hang out. I also just love walking around North Michigan Ave. You have to get some of Garrett's caramel and cheese popcorn mixed together... It's finger licking good! Garrett's is next to Starbuck's and I think it's between Chicago Ave. and Superior. Awesome! I would also go to the Museum of Science and Industry to see Body World 2. They are showcasing the human body using cadavers that have been preserved and I believe plasticized. Amazing! All these places are accessible by public transportation or taxi. You could also go on a dinner or lunch cruise in the lake and eat while enjoying the breathtaking views of the skyline. Odyssey is really good. They're at Navy Pier. If I were you, I would stay at the Park Hyatt on Michigan and Chicago. Get the Park Suite... It's pricey but well worth it. That is by far the best hotel that I have ever stayed at. The Drake is overrated but priced more reasonably. Remember, you can negotiate the price of the hotel room by over a hundred dollars. I stayed in the Park Suite at the Park Hyatt and it was over $500 a night but I negotiated them down to $350! They have excellent service. They even sent me and my wife up a $119 bottle of champaign! World class service from Jerome the concierge. You could also have lunch or dinner in Food Life at the Water Tower Place across the street from the hotel. Food life has over half a dozen different types of food. They have chinese, thai, american, mexican, etc. It's like a food court but it's a restaurant. You go to the different kiosks to get your food and they make it fresh right in front of you. Chicago is awesome... There is so much to do! You could also see the Blue Man Group or go to Second City to watch the comedy troops. I hope this helps!

If the weather is nice, walk through Lincoln Park Zoo...it is a beautiful area and it's free! The guided bus tours are also fun and interesting. If you have a nice night while you are here, another great way to see the city is going on a carriage ride. You can find the horses near Water Tower Place, I believe, on Pearson just west of Michigan Ave. Afterward, stop and get some popcorn at Garrett's on Michigan...fabulous! Going to the top of the Sears Tower or John Hancock is great also, just make sure it's a clear day. Check out the museums for free days...they really are great! Enjoy your stay in Chicago...don't forget to eat pizza at Gino's or Giordano's!

Millenium park is pretty sweet if you want to look at a giant metal bean. They have some other stuff there as well.

There's also Grant Park a little bit south of there that has a really big fountain. It's the fountain that was in the opening credits of married with children. You can almost hear frank sinatra singing when you see it.

You must go down Magnificent Mile (on michigan ave.) it has tons of shopping places (i.e. vigin records, bloomingdales, saks fifth, express, kenneth cole, etc.), there's always entertainment down that strip, it's almost like going to city walk in cali or florida.
There's also the cultral center (on randolph and wabash) and if you're over 21 head over to the North side of chicago for some hot clubs, if you're not 21 +, there's still good eating and shopping on the north side and depending on when you're there you might get lucky enough to see some parades or market things.
Anyways hope this helped, have fun in Chicago, I love it there!

I recently spent a week there on business but took the redline bus tour first which gave me plenty of ideas on things I wanted to see after doing the trip. it costs about $30 but is really great and worth it. Rigleyville is kind of cool especially if you are into baseball.
