I have a zit problem on my forehead which is refusing to clear up. I've used many face washes but nothing is helping. Maybe someone out there has a useful suggestion? I'm about to give up now, I don't really like looking in the mirror anymore! Please give any suggestions which have worked before. Thanx!!! ;-)

First, have you used a medication with 10% benzoyl peroxide? Clearasil persa-gel is one but there are many others. These are some of the strongest acne creams availible otc and they work pretty well. Dab a bit just on the zit twice a day and it should dry up pretty quickly.
You could also try using a clay mask just on the zit overnight to dry it out. Mario Badescu makes a really nice drying mask that is perfect for this. They give out a ton of free samples if you fill out the skin care survey thing on their website (mariobadescu.com)
To cover it up, try putting a cool compress on it for a few minutes to decrease swelling a redness and then using a stick concealer in your exact skin tone.
If it isn't clearing up after a few days, see a dermatologist just to be sure that its not a cyst or an abcess of some sort.
Hang in there, zits suck but it'll be gone before you know it.

Drink lots of water. I'm guessing you have bangs on your forehead and the little bit of grease from your hair bothers your skin. Try to keep your hair off your forehead. Don't worry about what people see. The sun will be good for the skin. Very important to keep your hands off your face too. I think it can be done without zit creams which you've probably already tried.

Have you seen a dermatologist, or your regular doctor? They can help with these problems by deciding if you need a prescription.

If it isn't acne, the only thing I use is MaryKay Timewise. I also use their micro dermabrasion set.

It works wonders!

I know a friend used a lemon cut in half and rubbed it where her pimples were worst. It's something to do with the acid in the lemon cleansing the skin to get rid of the bacteria. She was red-faced for a couple of days but it did help a little.

Go to a dermetologist. They will perscribe you both topical medicine you can put on your forehead at night, and medicine you take with food during the day- so your acne will cure up just as fast.

In the meantime, try not to touch your forehead, use only noncomedagenic makeup (make up that does not clog your pores, you can look on the back near the ingredients) and always wash your face after exercising and ALWAYS before bed!

good luck!

Try this go to missJennysSoap.com and get a bar of the tea tree and cornmeal soap, this is what I use for my face after trying several expensive brands I found that the all natural approach was the best for me I use this soap daily and exfoliate about twice a week, I haven't had any major breakouts since using this product, if you don't want to order on line you can find something comparable at a natural food store or maybe in the green wise section at Publix...

PROACTIV!!

Trust me--I dont care what ANYBODY says--Proactiv saved my skin!!! I had a horrible time with bumps on my face, and I tried everything..I went ahead and paid the $40 for the kit--and it was one of the best decisions I ever made. It has totally stopped my face from breaking out..But the key is that you have to keep using it--and when you stop, your face breaks out again. I know I sound like an infomercial--but its really, really, really works. People tell me I have goregoues skin now--but I pay alot of money to get it like this.

Be sure to buy face washed with a lot of active ingrediants (you can find this usually on the back of the bottle) if that still doesnt help you can always go see a dermotologist and they will be able to get you perscription acne remover.

Shampoo hair regularly.
Pull hair off forehead.
Go outside.
Let the sunshine on the forehead for one half hour per day.
No sunscreen!
After two week, look in mirror!

If that fails go for the Australian sure cure Vegemite
As in digest it!

make sure to keep your hands off you face! the oils from your fingers will only make it worse-and no picking!! that will leave scars and make it stay longer. try using clearasil or Oxy10 zit creams from the drug/grocery store that will clear it up in a few days..i think Clearasil has a 3-day one that you use twice a day and it reduces it in redness and size
