I was wondering if any of you seller on eBay are making profit selling SMC’S product. I don’t know if it just me or there are hardly any buyers on eBay. Almost six month since I registered as seller and I barely make it. When I did sell something, I end up paying for the item. Sometime I said to myself “what kind of monkey business am I running here on eBay.”----- (sorry for the little joke). I use to own a store on eBay and I close it down because there was no traffic. So I figure this time I list my items for auction, oh boy I was wrong! Hardly any traffic... (And I did put item in the right category). I’m tired of spending money and make nothing. I’m tired of paying to have my items display on eBay for decoration. EBay sellers please share some tip, idea or any suggestion. Thank you.

ebay is so big and large now that it is definitely more difficult to make a profit...

you have to think outside of the box now... simply listing items from a large distributor like SMC won't cut it anymore. The fees are too high and there's not enough margin in it.

In order to make money now, you have to buy large quantities of junk and sort through it to find the few marketable items. For example, you might go to a storage building auction. Those are auctions when a storage building sells everything in a unit that has fallen behind on rent. You buy a unit for a few hundred bucks, and hope you find some high value goods like some antique furniture or toys. You then take the rest and throw it in your local dumpster.

I feel the same way. I am selling great products - some even new with tags at super low prices just to clear out my stuff and no buyers. I have to list at least twice before I sell. Then twice I had buyers not pay for the items. When I contact the buyer - they say "check is in the mail" or something dumb like that". Anyway, Good luck. I am open to any suggestions too. I am glad that I am not the only one that has been feeling this way. Feedback score is 100% too. If anything I end up paying for the item due to having to relist! What to do??

I did not have any trouble selling. I think most people are over ebay any way, unless its a hard to find item or some thing collectable. Ebay really isnt all that fun any more its one big scam and you get alot of junk from it.
