I had a light-moderate chemical peel done 4 days ago. The aesthetician told me that it is was a 'minor' procedure and I should only have some slight flaking of my skin over the next few days. She was right for the most part, but my forehead has a sort of strange shiny, 'tight' look unlike the rest of my face. I'm also breaking out a bit in this area. Is this because that area is naturally oilier than the rest of my face and responded differently to the chemicals? If so, when can I expect it to go back to normal? Argh.

I don't exactly remember what happened wheni got my chemical peel done, but i remember i just told everone i got "burned" and i remember it was red. I dont remember a shiny glow on any part of my face but it could possibly be that that spot is normally more oily then the rest. i had to go to the dermatologist and get an ointment for the "burn" so if i were you i would do the same

i might actually recommend to no longer do a chemical peel on oneself yet instead pass to a (board-qualified) dermatologist as everlasting scarring and an infection can take place in even the main able to hands. in case you had one in each of those reaction, perchance you will desire to pass to a derm or a minimum of your loved ones dr. there is likewise a internet site that has extremely some message boards on the a number of elegance procedures at the same time with 'chemical peels'. Please, although, in basic terms get a chemical peel at the same time with a tca or glycolic at a derm's place of work :) and that i've got study that with the tca, that something above 35% (please from checklist ;) could lead on directly to everlasting scarring.

I've had a chemical peel before too and that happened to me. For me it took longer than my dermatoligist said it would take to go away. I think it finally was gone after a week and a half, but the peel didn't really work and I never got one again.

If your skin is dry, it tends to produce more oil to compensate for the dry skin. This produces more breakouts. I would suggest that you put a moisturizer that doesn't not contain mineral oil, lanolin, or fragrance on your face. Also wash your face with cold water. I had a chemical peel before and I absolutely hated the experience. Hope this helps.

it will take one week to go back to normal.
the chemical peel doesnt act same way on whole face
different areas of face have different sensitivity
so the concentration of the peel should be different for different areas. your fore head is more sensitive so it has broken out
but nothing to worry
you will be all right within a week.
good luck
