Well, this is going to be up to a lot of debate.
I hope that it is not too long, because I really liked the character, and the dynamics he had with the rest of the Tean Titans.
Unfortunatly, as mentioned by another answer, the term Superboy is in a mess right now. So, if they do bring him back, they will need to figure out what, if anything they need to change.
I am not sure, it did take them 20 years to bring back a Supergirl from Krypton. I would hope it does not take them that long to bring back Superboy, but they may decide with Supergirl, and Powergirl present, that there is not a need right now for Kon-El.
Of note, he was killed off before the decision was made in court that the trademark to the name belonged not to DC. So, it was already planned, much like Supergirl died in the first Crisis.
I bet one way to get DC to think about this, write in and ask for him to come back. They did just recently save the Manhunter Series, so it could do the same for Superboy, or at least Kon-El, or Conner Kent.

I’m not sure. I’m more bothered by the fact that they have gone in for the ‘hero turns evil’ schtick. First they had Green Lantern go bad and kill off the entire GL Corps. Then they had Superboy Prime destroy a few universes.
I’d like to see Superboy come back in some way shape or form. But I wish they hadn’t had Superboy Prime go bad. I think their reason is they don’t want to have anybody as powerful as Superman. He is by definition their top of the line model, and the toughest hero they have. So they can’t have a Superboy who is as powerful (let alone more powerful) than Superman.
Personally I’d leave Kon El the clone and the white-shirted Supergirl (not Power Girl) for the Saturday morning cartoon shows and keep the original Kryptonian cousins for the comic books.

For those who don't know, DC killed off Superboy (the clone of Superman, not the original teenage clark kent) in their miniseries "Infinite Crisis"
I give it two years, tops.
