There are two Paul Young's famous for 80's rock.

The solo artist Paul had a big hit with the Hall and Oates-penned "Everytime You Go Away" and the hot MTV video smash "(Gonna Tear Your) Playhouse Down". He is still singing but has mellowed since 1993 when his health started to affect that wonderful raspy voice of his.

The other Paul Young was the huskier voiced lead vocalist, along with former Ace/Squeeze frontman Paul Carrack, for the popular Genesis-spinoff band Mike + The Mechanics. This Paul was the voice for the 1985 smash "All I Need Is A Miracle" and later hits "Nobody's Perfect" and "Beggar On A Beach Of Gold". This great Paul Young died of cancer in the late 90's.
