Farsi is actually a beautiful language, but there is no chance of it ever being our national language, since the probability of Iran conquering America is zero.

So why don't you rant hysterically about Martian invasion, it's much more likely.

Why don't we bring a SECOND party to Washington?

Meathook, the majority of Americans DO want us to cut and run from Iraq. That is why the Democrats control Congress, remember?

Well at least someone realises democracy in the US is dead, and is a dying flame the world over. Governments have realised that what people want - what they really want - is to have tomorrow pretty much the same as today. Few people care about specifics, and certainly not above things like abortion, so they will quite hapily ignore the fact that both parties are exactly the same on every issue, except those absolute ones which will decide their vote-base, like abortion.

To take another example, the conservative and labour parties in Britain are almost indistinguishable. If you saw a list of their policies you wouldn't be able to tell which was which. There is simply no choice. Everyone stands for the same thing, if you don't agree then you can not vote and effectively have your voice silenced, or you can vote for them anyway and legitimise their position. Whether this has always been the case, and politicians have only now decided to come clean, or whether it's a new turn of events it must be stopped.

We are living in a dictatorship where we choose our figurehead from an identical line of shop window dummies.

You know that's a loaded question and not accurate at all. Democrats don't have the votes to do anything. This is the President's and V.P. Cheney's war and will continue this course until the elections get closer, let's say another six months or so. That's when it starts to become dangerous for incumbent republicans up for re-election to keep standing with the President and not backing the democrats trying to get the troops out of Iraq. At some point those non-binding democratic resolutions, will become binding. If not, the republicans are in deep trouble for the next election.

We are all Americans, And the majority of america doesnt agree with anything this corrupt administration is doing. They could all care a less because they still have the best health insurance, benefits, and pay. . They have one of the best jobs in the world. So why would they want to work when they dont get paid by their actions, just their negligent decisions ,or lack thereof. Although gw and his fellow clansman all filibuster or threaten any logical ideas. Congress has the power to do something. But will they? Most likely not. It would be a Miracle if they did.

that's called having your cake and eating it. The conflict deal is problematical. The drug issue is a funny tale. Senator Hunter from california outfitted a short 14-16 mile fence and shrink crime and illegals down by ability of ninety%. all of us know the illegals are getting used as mules by ability of the drug cartels. humorous each administration has a thousand million dollar + drug czar and what may be the simplist issue to do? you acquire it construct a fence. imagine how the country might want to heal up by ability of forestalling it. you may blame the democrats and the GOP. If both one gave a rats cheese cake about this it may were finished years in the past. Fed prisons wouldn't have three hundred,000 illegals in them and native and state jails have about three hundred,000. I guess the regulation enforcemnt human beings dream aboutit and not in any respect being so overworked and skinny on the line. take care. each thing you reported has a effective foyer in a unmarried way or yet another.

The Democrat Congresspeople understand that even though the Presidential Approval rating are low that does not equal the majority of Americans want us to cut and run from Iraq. Approval of the President's job and plan in Iraq and doing the right thing for the Iraqi people and the freely elected government that we promised to protect are apples and oranges. So they have slowly been trying to erode popular support for the mission since the very first approval to use hostilities.

Edit - Waycar have you been drinking already this morning?

No. We live in a Republic and not a democracy. The pledge of allegiance has a line.To the Republic for which it stands. We are a nation where the majority is not the basis on how to run a country but a country of laws.

Sometimes leaders have to do things that are unpopular. Do you ever go do something you really don't want to do? That's what this war is. It's getting up to exercise or not eating a piece of cake. It will be worth it when this war is over and Iraq has a democracy and then you can just chalk Iraq up as one more place that has a government you wouldn't want to live under.

Freaky guy, after looking at your last few questions, you sound like you are finally realizing that all the Dems did last year, was watch the polls, and tell all of the voters whatever they wanted to hear to get voted...Congrats!!

This war will continue, until there is stability in Iraq,no matter who is in office. At least Republicans will be honest and TELL you that..

Well, by cutting off funding, you are failing to support the troops. Doesn't make a nice image when there are soldiers in Iraq trying to do their jobs with no armor or ammunition because you cut their funding.
