Keep moisturised, apart from that there isn't much you can do as its all down to how stretchy your skin is...I am lucky because I am very little (5 ' and size 6) and have 3 kids .I don't have any stretch marks and was huge when pregnant!(i put on 3 stone each time!!)but my Friend had a little bump and loads of stretch marks...genes are something you cant control and I know I was very lucky.Don't worry ..they show that you have done something wonderful in creating a life..and if you do get them try bio oil after as it is supposed to take away the redness...good luck with your baby!

I used to rub Almond oil (the cooking one) onto my tummy at least 5 times a day or when my tummy started to feel itchy and this worked. I misplaced the bottle at about 7 months and kept forgetting to buy a new one, and guess what-stretch marks appeared. I swear if I didn't loose that bottle of oil or if I had remembered to buy a new one right away then I would never have got ant stretch marks. Another good thing to use is Bio-Oil, I started to rub this onto my stretch marks after my baby was born as it says it reduces and heals them, they do look a little better.
Good luck!

Moisturise well and eat healthily, particularly foods useful for growth and repair (proteins, fatty acids, vitamins A, C and E). Bio-oil is said to be very good at repairing skin and maintaining its elasticity. If you are worried about getting stretchmarks from pregnancy, you need to use the product everyday.

I've heard a lot of people suggest cocoa butter..
Myself, because my mum is an aromatherapist, I use mandarin oil. Just a few drops of mandarin essential oil mixed into plain olive oil. It is a bit messy, but I'm on my second pregnancy and although I have a few minor marks, it seems to have worked really well for me!
Johnson's baby oil is good too, if you can't get the mandarin essential oil..
Congrats and good luck! :-)

The most important thing is to remain hydrated. Your skin retains its elasticity better when it is hydrated. Try to drink plenty of water during your entire pregnancy. I also used a pure cocoa butter stick from The Body Shop. It smells wonderful and helps keep you from itching and has healing properties. DRINK WATER!!

Use cocoa butter lotion several times a day everywhere and you will never see a stretch mark. Don't forget places you wouldn't normally put lotion like underneath your arms and your lower back and your inner thighs and vaginal area. I never had any stretch marks where I had applyed the lotion but I never expected to get stretch marks underneath my arms. Good luck and congrts.
