Let X denote the number of throws made. a) Find the probability distribution of X.
The same dice is thrown and then an unbiased coin is thrown the number of times indicated by the score on the dice.Let H denote the number of heads obtained. Show that P(H=2) = 13/48.
The answer to part a) x 1 2 3 4

I find difficult to understand this question. Can you please re-phrase it ? You say that X denotes the number of throws, then you ask to find the prob. distribution of X. I wonder if you mean to find the outcome of the experiment? If it is a fair die then the distribution is a discrete distribution having a value equal to 1/6 at each outcome (i.e. X=1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6). In your statement of the problem I believe you mean a single die is thrown. And I think you mean the outcome is either a 6 or a 4. Also you mean 4 throws are made. If you agree, with these in mind, please re-phrase the question so that we can have bash at it.
