I have a 7 years old girl, 4 year old boy (still in pull ups), and a 7 month old baby girl. What would you think would be fair to pay a baby sitter?

I would say $10-$15 an hour. You have three children, and at least two who need constant care. Someone above said $3-$5 which is CRAZY!
If you need help finding a babysitter check out www.sittercity.com. It's a great site to help you find a babysitter that will fit your exact needs. You can narrow down your search as much as you want and even require CPR training and first aid. You can also do a background check for any sitter you wish. Parents do have to pay, but it isn't a large amount. The site also has a lot of tips and information about finding a sitter that fits your family.
Good luck!

It depends on where you live. If you're in a more rural area, then I'd say six or seven dollars an hour (and potty train that four year old--pull ups are the same as wearing diapers, they're just bigger sized). If you're in a suburb of a large city, then I'd say 10-12 dollars an hour. I'm from Wisconsin and I got 6 dollars an hour for a 10 yr old, a 2 yr old, and an infant. But, I moved to Chicago and I get $12 an hour for a 2 yr old and a 4 yr old. I'm sure that when the mom has her next baby in August, it'll jump to at least $14. It really depends on where you're from.

$5 per HOUR per CHILD is LOW?!? Ummm...That is VERY high...much more than a licensed daycare would charge you. It really depends...if its a full time thing while you work each day all week then I would say a weekly rate for 3 kids would be about $125 a week.
Just for one night/day for a few hours (up to 4-5) every once in awhile, for 3 kids would be around $20-$25 for the evening.
Most places/people around here (indiana) their charges break down to ABOUT $1 per hour Per Child!

At a regular daycare facility, I was charged $7.50/hr for one child. So for just a baby sitter, I think $5/hr per child would be fair.

It really depends on where you live! In Chicago the going rate would start at about $10 but for three kids that is VERY low. We pay $15/hour and our girls are 6,4 and 2....this is a useful tool to figure it out:

Depends on where you live, but $10-12 an hour sounds fair.
