Cheap and fast way to try and clean out lifters (tappets).
Install a new oil filter, drain oil and refil with 2 quarts 5W30 and 2-3 quarts of kerosene or Diesel.
Run engine until warm.. Do not drive around with it.
after engine runs warm for a few minutes, drain oil mix and change filter. New filter and new oil as recommended for that car. After about 100 miles change filter and oil again.

The diesel or Kerosene soften the sludge and clean the inside of the engine. The new filter to start with is to prevent dirt in old filter from going around again. The second oil change is to get the rest of the dirt and kerosene out of the engine.

If this doesn't work you will have to live with it or pull them out and fix or replace them.

Good luck

It relies upon on the 300 and sixty 5 days and style of engine no remember if it rather is an older v8 or v6 the lifters are merely grimy and sticking. the least confusing thank you to repair it rather is to purchase some engine purifier. you adjust your oil and oil filter out changing one quart of oil with the purifier. many times the guidelines are on the can if no longer enable the engine run for about half-hour and alter the oil. it's going to be quite heat. replace the oil and filter out back and replace one million quart of oil with transmission fluid. it won't harm something and could clean the the rest sludge out of the lifters. in case you have a greater contemporary engine this might nonetheless paintings inspite of the undeniable fact that it is not as person-friendly.
