I played down offensive and defensive line until my sophmore year in high school. I never got over 5'10, 155lbs until I joined the Army 4 years later. If you can lose a little weight or work on your speed you could easily play LB. If you stay the same weight or get heavier and grow a few inches, you would make a great O or D lineman.
Also, if you get taller and stay lean TE is a good offensive position too.

5'7" is pretty short for anything on defense, you have to be able to have length in order to knock any balls down by being a linebacker like most are saying. fullback or blocking TE might be best, but if it's only your 2nd year in high school your more likely to grow into a linebacker position, if your speed is up there. but for now fullback is where you will dominate. hope that helped

depending on your speed and agility i would say Rb or even some sort of Db. if you can hit maybe SS, also how big your school is (3a, 4a,5a) depends on the level of competion sometimes. smaller school generally means lower level of competition. no matter what you end up playing play hard and play mean. dont leave any regrets trust me it will haunt you. i found out the hard way, after i quit i found out from my coach that a few colleges were looking at me.

Center or Tackle, sounds like you are someone who isn't easily pushed around and you could probably crush the guy in front of you, it takes a strong big person to take on a Defensive lineman.

If you are playing varisty u should be an MLB because your weight is a little up there for a 5'7 guy but it could be body fat or muscle. If it is fat play DE or DT if muscle play MLB

YOUR NOT TO SMALL ESPECIALLY FOR THE OFFENSIVE LINE. (GUARD, NOSE TACKLE,IF YOUR GOOD LONG SNAPPER) BECAUSE OF YOUR HEIGHT YOU'LL HAVE A BETTER CENTER OF GRAVITY AND ABLE TO MANIPULATE A DEFENDER.
WHEN FIRING OFF THE LINE OF SCRIMMAGE IT'S ABOUT WHO GETS LOWER ! STAND EM UP MAKE YOUR HOLE YOU'LL BE OK.JUST MAKE SURE TO HIT THE GYM, SQUATS ,AND BENCH PRESSING. BY YOUR JUNIOR YEAR YOU SHOULD BE BENCHING TWICE YOUR WEIGHT IF YOU WANT SOME COLLAGE ATTENTION.
