Hi Melanie,
Great I love it!!! I have fun and make Friends while earning money !
I started My Mary Kay business over two years ago. I was working a full time job with a well know financial institution. I liked my job I was there over 7 years but as you start a family priorities change. Sales was the last thing I thought I would ever consider. When my Mary Kay Consultant mentioned it I said no thanks you. it wasn't until a year later I listened to the facts. When my 15moth old was born I quit my full time job to be home with my children and I have never regretted it!
I work my Mary Kay business part time focusing on my children first.
If I can give you more information answer any other questions feel free to email me.

I've been doing it since November 2000. It is quite lucrative and so much easier than tolerating the stress of a job. It assists you in creating challenges for yourself. If other women have inventory stocked up in their basements and are speaking ill about the Company - its only related to the fact that they have made the choice to do nothing. The challenges include communicating with people, making phone calls, booking appointments and doing skincare/makeover classes. Its exciting to deal with a Company that's over 40 years old and many other home-based businesses have established their marketing plan based on Mary Kay. The business is working very well for me. I can choose to be a Consultant for personal use, casual, part-time or full-time. I will be moving up to full-time as it is fun and I have MK girlfriends and my customers become lifelong friends. Some of them even join my team. Have fun! That's what its all about and earn money. I have been a part of so many home-based businesses and none of them have matched Mary Kay.

I am a Sr. Consultant with MK. I started in July to receive the discount. I ended up making some money just from word of mouth so began working it as a business. I am really enjoying it and have been very successful so far. Each month is better than the last and I can see a longterm future with MK. I know it doesn't work for everyone (no job does), but for me, it is a great fit. I have two little boys, a military husband and work full-time. My goal is to eventually quit my job and become a director.

My hardest part is teambuilding. For me, sales is the fun part. I always let future team members come to me and don't really ever go after new team members. This can make it slow going, but I figure this way everyone on my team really wants to be there and weren't 'coerced' into it.

My favorite part is, of course, the extra money, but also my director. She is really great and has amazing advice. I am blessed to be under her, because I don't think I would have done this so seriously if I didn't like my director.

Hello Melanie, I have a great time with my MK business. I am a stay at home mom and I work my business when time allows. Also when I know I have an extra bill to pay I book some skin care classes. I do not carry a ton of inventory. I carry enough to supply my perfered customers and my self. Once and a while I add some extra when I know I have lots of classes coming up. But I never have more than a few hundred dollars on my shelf. The comradship with other consultants is amazing. You will never find that in the regular work force. We share ideas, and help each other. If you are considering signing up, be honest with your self...know that you do have to put in the time to reap the rewards. We all have our good days and bad days. But we support/encourage each other and share a passion for helpign other women feel as great as we do.

I have been a Mary Kay Consultant for a few months and it is fantastic. The company is so generous with its rewards, and every other consultant I meet is supportive and encouraging.
The products are such good quality they sell themselves, so you dont need andy sales experiene. You do not need to have inventory either. Some people choose to because it works well for them. Others just order as required. You will be given all the training you need, and be surrounded by people who can help with every thing you need.

Hello my name is Tammy Sousa and I have been a consultant for over 4 years and absolutely love it. The freedom and flexibility are great as I have 2 young children. To answer your question about how I am doing...my average profit week would be $700+ and that's working part-time 6-8 hour/wk. If you have any further questions or are thinking about starting your own business I'd be happy to help you get started...Just so you know we are not a multi level or pyramid company we are called inn the business world "dual marketing" which means no middleman. We purchase the products from the company at a wholesale cost and sell to our customers at a retail cost.

I've been building my business now for a little over a month and love it. There is so much support in our group and my director is fantastic. I never feel that I'm alone because I have lots of resources. The products are wonderful and I have no hesitation to work with such an integral company.

I am just building my client base now and trying to get more parties going. It is Spring and people tend to get more in the 'shopping' mood when the weather is better.

Hope that helps!
