I feel your pain. We live on the same road as the fire department.

Yes, and I'd move to another area, town, or city. BUT for sure I would move. Hell, I'd have to as all five of my dogs howl like mad when they hear the sirens. I don't have this problem as I live in a small town with only like 10,000 population.

I live in the east-end of Toronto. Our street is a main thoroughfare that bypasses another t-f that gets jammed up.
After a time, I just tuned the noise out, and turn the telly or music up louder.

Yep, it would most likely drive me crazy. That is why I live in the country in a small town. I don't have to put up with any noise except the noise my kids make.

I lived right by a hospital when I was growing up. I learned to ignore them. Now that I live in a quiet place, it bothers me to hear them. I can appreciate your frustration, especially in Brooklyn. The last time I was in "The City", they kept me awake most of the night.

I live two blocks off the main thoroughfare in a big city. I hear them all the time and mostly block them out...unless they turn onto my street.

nah it probably wouldnt obther me. my boyfriend works on a rescue squad and i hang out around the squad alot. im used to it. i also have a pretty high tolerance for noise. maybe thats because im always carrying my music around with me whether im cleaning or what ever.. cooking reading. you name it i got my music. so ther noise doesnt bother me too much.
i hope this helped?
