You should make sure that your fence panels are of the quality that can resist strong wind-blows, and also that they under normal conditions should last for at least twenty years.

Fence panels at places where strong wind blows often should be fixed to the concrete posts with three bolts on each side, and then the professional (gardener), if he really is a professional, who installs them, or repairs them, should give you a formal warranty of the quality and durability of those panels, or of the work that he has done.

Fence panels should never make a compact barrier against the wind, but while they ensure privacy and safety for children, they should also allow the air to filter thru. They should be fences, not walls, as the wind should not hammer with all its force against the panels but flow thru them thus being mildened and so losing its impact and its chilling effect.

You might reinforce your existing panels by fixing aesthetically acceptable strengthening iron or wooden bars to them. But you may have to go and see some other more solid fences in your neighborhood and also enquire about their solidity and about their age.

Good luck!

Garden fences contribute to give the final appearance of your garden. Many people have gardens in the summer. Many have them year round. Regardless, most people have flowers that they would like to protect. The best way to protect your flowers is to put up a garden fence. California Fence offers incredible security as well as gives beauty to your home by installing a garden fence, which not only enhance the beauty but also increase the resale value.

Hi, i assume your fence is 6ft high, put 2 rows of 12inch high concrete gravel boards at the bottom first as these are strong & won't blow anywhere & some nice designs, then 4ft high stronger fence panels on top (see your local panel maker for strongest type), Will cost a bit more but will last a long time providing you treat the timber with preservative annualy.good look & shop around so you don't get ripped off.

I'd forget replacing the panels...The wood is flimsy and not strong enough to withstand fierce weather conditions.

I'd bolt some 2 by 2 onto the concrete posts and to that attach some horizontal plinths and go for a traditional vertical slatted fence.

I had the same problem with strong winds and that's how I got around it.

A privacy fence provides protection not only to help keep young children and animals within the boundary, but also to keep intruders and stray animals out. It will help your property to remain hidden from prying eyes and will reduce the temptation for children and animals to stray. Your property will benefit from having a clear indication of where the land separates from the neighboring property. If your garden comprises landscaping that could be accented by additional decoration, using a privacy fence will be the better option to enable this to take place. Whether you intend to paint it or add staining so that it matches other elements of your garden, this will be easier to achieve with this type of fence over any other.

I also have a problem with kids climbing over my fence, and even damaging it. No trespassing signs and talking to the parents doesn't seem to help But barbed wire I am sure would be illegal, and it would be just plain mean. I don't know what car pit grippers are. I don't think blackberry plants will keep anyone out. It might even attract them when the fruit is ripe. .

Hi,I would try again with a staggered slate fence, that would let the wind blow through the fence as illustrated down below in the diagram. This way there would be less pressure on the fence.Try it I think you will be satisfied with the results. Good Luck.
