It is all about having a political will. Each minister barring exceptions is playing in the hands of lobbies of various industrial, sectoral interests. Any fool can visualize why the money sent by PM for Vidarbha was lying unspent with the state ministry. The Government is harping on the point of crop insurance made available. Who is going to be benefited by the insurance claims. Banks. Because their crop loans have now been secured even if crop fails. Insurance players are happy because they have got new business. What about the farmer he is not getting anything from this insurance if his crop fails. He has only one way i.e. noose. If I as a common man can understand this simple thing do you think the people at the helm of affair are not knowing? They certainly do but what they are going to gain from the farmers. The blessings and what is the commercial value of it. So be in peace and watch.

FARMER SUICIDES
The suicides of thousands of farmers around the country tell poignant and revealing tales of our country, and the desperation that marks the lives of so many millions. Disastrous policies, woeful access to affordable credit, greedy and corrupt middlemen, and indifferent administrations are among the facors that have pushed farmers to their breaking point.

I am touched.
I was informed that last monsoon was good and the problem is over, this is a news to me.
Individual states and entities needs to do some thing about this famine problem.
They need free food and assistance with seed for next season and not a tour by Agriculture minister, and promises, action-action- action, is the answer.
Please act now, provide food to sustain them thru hard times and assist them to be prepared for the next season.

Its so good to find people so concerned over the miseries of the impoverished in our country even today.
Because this active attitude is our key to "real" development.
Its really sadening to see the condition of the peasants, the govt. agriculture agency must soon provide necessary relief and compensartion.
Media could help a great deal in this direction.
