Well, I died (technically) twice during surgery. I don't remember a damn thing. No bright, white lights, no hovering over the operating table looking on curiously. No wandering into the waiting room to see my sons. Nothing. I woke up on a ventilator both times. Maybe something wonderful happens when you stay dead, but not if you're just visiting.
As for rigor mortis, the body stiffens when blood flow and nerve function stops. This phenomenon only last about 24 hours, then everything relaxes again.

nobody can really answer you on what happens after you die because that would be like talking to ghosts or something!
on your second question, its actually rigor mortis. its when the body stiffens up 24 hours after death because of loss of blood circulation and nerve function. it usually lasts for only about 24 hours or so and then the body becomes flaccid again.

The science might have reached its extent in invention, destruction etc.., but the Birth and Death of any living organism is still a question mark in this world. None can predict tis.
Each and every human has his own answer for this question from wat his ancestors has told him or some knowledge from their sacred book according to their religious myth.
