The process here is fission:
it occurs when u hit a ( slow ) neutron with an atom uranium 235, the result of that hitting is
1- Fast neutrons
2- Gamma rays
3- Huge amount of energy (nuclear energy)
Then u take these fast neutrons, slow them down then hit them by another atom(s) of uranuim 235 so u get more fast neutrons, more gamma rays, more anount of energy, then u take these fast neutrons, slow them, hit them with ....... " chain reaction "
So that u can have self-sufficient nuclear power station

Uranium is the fuel used in nuclear power stations. Uranium is very hot and is used to heat water which (like a boiling kettle) produces steam. This steam turns a turbine and the turbine is connected to a generator which generates electricity.
