The problem is getting 70,000,000 Americans to do that or something like that. If every single American did that, I think the people in Washington would listen, but not all Americans think it's right to just pull out of Irag at this point nor do all Americans care. So it won't happen. That said, in early 2003, I was joining in every anti-war protest possible. I felt a great saddness and anger when the US finally did go to war in Iraq. But at this point, it's too late. If the Americans and our allies were to pull out of Iraq at this point, it may do more harm than good. I don't know what the answer is, but it's not humane to go into a country, kill countless civilians, destroy all the infrastructure, start a civil war, and then pull out and say well it's all up to you now. We caused their misery, stirred up a lot of hurt, and now we need to help them get back to peace. I'm not sure how this would be done, but we're now obligated to be involved because we started it.

No, but if you and 70,000,000 Americans write a letter to Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi and tell them you are life-long Democrats, but will never vote for them again unless they stop the war right now, the war will end tomorrow.

It is not in their interests. Protest doesn't ever have to be listened to under any democratic government until it's election time.
Besides, the democrats are pretty much pro-war too. Who exactly is going to represent your views in government?
