An unreliable narrator is someone who describes what's happening in an incorrect way, and ends up misleading the reader.

So if I tell you about the people I talked to at the park, and then 3 chapters later you find out that I am a schizophrenic that hears voices in my head, you might conclude that the the things I heard at the park might not have been actual people, just the voices in my head.

Or, maybe the narrator is a con artist, or a pathological liar, or a confused person.

If you want to edit your question to include some examples, we can give you some more specific help.

How about giving you the Wikipedia definition of an "unreliable narrator" and you figure out which of the people on the list you failed to give us fits the definition? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unreliable_narrator
