My animal feed webshop has a very simple layout provided by my ecommerce company - i need tables in the front page to make everything neat - as i have for instance - 5 food bags side by side to advertise a new product and underneath the product name - this means a table of 5 x 2 - im concerned that using these tables though is blocking yahoo from 'seeing' the contents' - is this correct - I thought i read somewhere that this was the case - Thankyou...

Tables should not be a problem. Mainly what the search engines don't see is Flash files, frames, iframes, and other forms of embedded content.

It doesn't stop Yahoo! seeing the content.
